Our Programs

For over 30 years, Harambee Dance Company has delivered high-quality arts education programs that preserve, celebrate, and advance the traditions of African and African Diaspora dance, drumming, and culture. Our programs are designed to deepen cultural understanding while fostering creativity, collaboration, confidence, and artistic excellence.

Led by Artistic Director and choreographer Sandella Malloy and Executive Director and master drummer Frank Malloy, our educational experiences combine authentic cultural traditions with engaging, hands-on learning. Participants explore the history, rhythms, movements, and cultural significance of African and African Diaspora arts through dynamic performances, demonstrations, and interactive instruction.

Harambee partners with schools, colleges and universities, museums, libraries, arts organizations, festivals, corporations, and community organizations to develop customized programs that align with educational standards, curriculum goals, and organizational objectives. Whether working with young children, educators, professional artists, or lifelong learners, we create meaningful experiences that inspire curiosity, cultural appreciation, and personal growth.
